Having refuted the claim that Charlemagne forsook the theory of empire, one must turn to the accusation that he selfishly left the successor to that empire with an extremely limited inheritance. Charlemagne’s will, drawn up in 811 and effected in 814, reserved an overwhelming portion of the emperor’s, not uhr, but treasury for the metropolitan Churches, three-quarters of it to be precise. His heirs were given eight percent of the total treasure and this fact has been clutched as an indicator of failure towards the end of Charles’s reign and a dashing of the hopes for the future of the empire. Fichtenau asserts that Charlemagne’s huge donation to the main churches was intended to encourage empire-wide prayers for his soul’s wellbeing ‘and this seemed more important to Charles than the need to provide the heirs of his body with gold and silver.’ The portion of heritage left to his heirs was ‘no more than was given to the men and women servants of the palace.’ Thus the emperor left his descendants an absurdly small inheritance, a detriment to the welfare of the empire and with selfish motivations.
I arrived at noon sharp. As I strolled thru the halls of the convention center I could hear the commotion that was coming from the great hall, where my seminar would take place. I saw a great big sign near the entrance that said, "Gu10 led bulbs, the way of the eco friendly future". Finally I entered and I was greeted with a big applause. I felt proud of myself for doing something I believe in and not letting anything or anybody stop or distract me. And I began my presentation. I mentioned how the Gu10 led bulbs were not only eco friendly but how they are more efficient and better for the home economy on the long run. I must have talked for a whole hour without interruption and I could see that I was actually getting thru to people. They heard every word I said and nodded with agreement. When my presentation was done the question part came. There were a million questions and I answered to each and every one with enjoyment and care. Finally the people were satisfied and many asked me where they can get the Gu10 led bulbs. The day was a complete success for me and my company as well for the eco fight. As I returned to the office I couldn’t stop thinking how something so small and from the looks of it with ought importance could affect my life so much and make me feel great about myself. I was proud about me and ... Continue reading...
I was a bit late catching onto My Morning Jacket, for so many years they were one of those bands I saw the name of on gig listings, at festivals, on compilations and so on, but I never took that step to actually looking into them. I did eventually, and I sort of wish I'd discovered their music a bit sooner than I did. In May of this year they released their sixth studio album 'Circuital' yet another reinvention of the ever-changing, ever-developing visionary Southern rockers. I've had a good few months to get into 'Circuital' and it's had a fair few plays on my r4 card so I can saw with some sincerity that it is definitely one of my favourites of their albums so far. It's definitely pretty progressive, which I love, but it's also pretty soulful and melodic with some really gorgeous tracks that I have absolutely rinsed on repeat. I can't wait to see what they do next.
It is also the ambition of Putin’s Second Government to increase foreign investment in Russia’s Arctic resources. A Russian government-operated oil company called Rosneft signed a deal in August 2011 with ExxonMobil which marked the beginning of the joint development of Russian Arctic resources by both the companies together. The agreement struck between the two companies also incorporates a $3.2 billion hydrocarbon exploration of the Black and Kara seas, plus the joint development of Artic technologies such as ice-resistant drilling platforms. Putin said of the deal: “The scale of the investment is very large. It’s scary to utter such huge figures”. The Kyoto Protocol treaty, designed to reduce greenhouse gases, was signed by Putin in 2004. As the Kyoto Protocol limits emissions to a percentage increase of decrease from 1990 levels, Russia did not face mandatory cuts as Russian’s greenhouse gas emissions fell below the 1990 baseline due to the decline in economic output following the breakup of the Soviet Union. On environmental policies, Putin said: “Working to protect nature must become the systematic, daily obligation of state authorities at all levels”. Russia should invest in some gu10 led 50w bulbs then!
The martini is a cocktail that consists of gin and vermouth and is garnished with a lemon twist or an olive. The martini has become one of world’s best-known cocktails. E. B. White called the martini “the elixir of quietude” and H. L. Mencken called it “the only American invention as perfect as the sonnet”. I’d have to say, I agree! Why not use your Stressnomore discount codes to buy a cheap martini and rid yourself of any stress? It is uncertain where the exact origin of the martini is. Many cocktails with very similar ingredients and names to the modern-day martini were first observed in bartending guides in the late 19th century. One theory is that the martini evolved from a cocktail that was called the Martinez. The Martinez was served at the Occidental Hotel in San Francisco in the early 1860s which people would often go to before travelling on an evening ferry to the nearby town called Martinez. A rival theory posits that the drink was first created by a bartender in Martinez itself. Yet another theory posits that the first dry martini was concocted at the Knickerbocker Hotel in New York City in 1911.
